Investigating New Sciences

Science is not a finished body of knowledge. It is an ongoing process of observation, experimentation, questioning, revision, and discovery. Throughout history, new observations have repeatedly challenged existing models and required us to develop new ways of understanding the world. What was once considered impossible, invisible, or beyond explanation has, at times, become part of entirely new scientific frameworks.

Within the HAL framework, Investigating New Sciences the higher-order way means exploring emerging fields, developing theories, interdisciplinary research, and new scientific possibilities without assuming that current knowledge represents the final boundary of what can be discovered. The purpose is not to reject established science. Nor is it to automatically accept every new theory or extraordinary claim. Instead, the task is to investigate the processes through which knowledge develops.

A higher-order approach recognizes that scientific development is often non-linear. New discoveries can emerge at the boundaries between disciplines, through new technologies, unexpected observations, or questions that existing models cannot fully answer. Physics, biology, genetics, archaeology, psychology, information sciences, complexity research, and other fields increasingly reveal that isolated systems may need to be understood through their relationships, interactions, and larger dynamics.

This creates the need for a more layered approach to scientific investigation. Within HAL, we examine new sciences by separating different levels of information: established knowledge, active research, emerging evidence, theoretical models, technological possibilities, unresolved anomalies, and future hypotheses. By keeping these categories distinct, we can remain open to new possibilities without confusing speculation with established fact. Investigating new sciences the higher-order way is ultimately an exploration of how knowledge itself evolves. It requires curiosity, discernment, intellectual flexibility, and the ability to remain with complexity rather than rushing towards simple conclusions. Because the sciences of the future may not only provide new answers.

They may also require us to ask entirely new questions.

Dimmed Skies and the Investigative Process

Okay, let us be honest here. This is not an investigation with straight answers and scientific solutions. There are some - within the field of air pollution, lingering contrails and airline fuel. And yet, it is also an investigation littered with secrecy, disinformation and over-speculative ideas of what this is. However, if you are new to this, try to observe the sky over a longer period of time, and you will see—like the rest of us that have raised concern about this for decades now—that the contrails linger on. Some dissipates, on some days, and on other days they linger on until they generate a cloud cover.
